Founder's Story

Meet Chandrika Bhagat, the heart behind Disharts and Chandrakalakriti

Chandrika’s journey began with two names—Chandrakala, given by her grandparents, symbolizing tradition, and Aakriti, lovingly bestowed by her mother, reflecting her creative spark. From a young age, Chandrika transformed simple things into something extraordinary, earning her the title of “the artist of the family.”

Life progressed, and her creativity took a backseat to marriage, family, and a flourishing career as a businesswoman. However, during a work trip abroad, Chandrika encountered a unique trend: luxurious jewelry crafted from sustainable materials. These pieces told stories of elegance and responsibility, igniting a spark within her. She realized it was time to blend her creativity with her business acumen.

Thus, Disharts, her company, took a bold new direction: creating sustainable luxury jewelry. To connect directly with customers and share her vision, she launched Chandrakalakriti, a platform that merges her love for tradition and innovation.

Why Jewelry?
For Chandrika, jewelry is more than an accessory—it’s a statement of individuality and a commitment to sustainability. By collaborating with rural artisans, Disharts combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to create unique pieces that inspire confidence and tell a story.
