Choosing for an evening

  • Warm wood under lamplight. Padauk's deep red and Boxwood's honey gold read beautifully in evening light, where metal tends to flare.
  • Plain Ebony against sequins or embroidery. Black never competes with an embellished outfit.
  • If you are dancing, consider a stud. Hooks catch on hair, scarves and shoulder straps.
  • Keep the neckline clear. One statement piece, not two.

A practical note

Put your earrings on last — after perfume and hairspray, not before. Alcohol-based products are the main risk to a polished wooden surface.

Handcrafted by skilled artisans in India from responsibly repurposed exotic hardwood. On bare-wood designs the colour is the wood's own, undyed, so there is nothing to chip or wear off during a long night out.
