This is a new direction for us. For years we have shaped exotic wood into earrings; a bracelet asks different questions. It sits against the wrist all day rather than hanging free. It has to be light enough to forget and strong enough to knock against a desk. And unlike almost everything else we make, it is not designed for one wearer or one kind of body — a wooden bracelet suits a man or a woman, a student or a grandparent, without adjustment.
Kavach — the seven chakra bracelet
Our first bracelet line is Kavach: seven discs of hardwood, each hand-engraved with the symbol of one of the seven chakras, strung in order from Muladhara at one end to Sahasrara at the other. The discs span roughly 9 cm, carried on a braided cord that ties to fit any wrist.
The seven symbols come from a tradition thousands of years old, and each is engraved rather than printed — cut into the surface of the wood by hand, one disc at a time. On a face this small, that is exacting work: a chakra yantra carries a lotus ring, an inner geometry and a seed form, all of which have to read clearly at the size of a coin.
One design, six woods
Kavach begins in Ebony — the darkest and densest wood we work, and the one that holds a fine engraved line most crisply. The same design will follow in Boxwood, Padauk, Maple, Rosewood and Purple Heart, each giving the seven symbols a completely different ground: pale gold, coral red, honey, deep brown, violet.
Every wood is responsibly repurposed — offcuts from fine woodwork given a second life — and every colour is the wood's own. Nothing here is dyed, stained or painted.

Wearing and caring for a wooden bracelet
A bracelet meets water more often than an earring does, so the habit worth building is simple: take it off before you shower, swim or wash up, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth afterwards. Wood does not tarnish the way metal does, and it stays warm against the skin rather than cold — but it does not want to be soaked.

Can a wooden bracelet get wet?
Please take it off before showering, swimming or washing up. A splash is not a problem — dry it with a soft cloth and let it air. Sustained damp is what to avoid.
Does the colour come from dye or stain?
Neither. Each wood is its own colour: Ebony grows near-black, Padauk coral red, Boxwood pale gold. Nothing in this collection is dyed, stained or painted.
