Collection: Statement Earrings

Handcrafted wooden statement earrings — pieces built to be the thing people notice, and light enough that you can still be wearing them at the end of the night.

Why wood makes a statement earring wearable

This is the argument for the whole collection. A statement earring works by occupying visual space near your face, and in metal that space costs weight. A large metal pair concentrates it on one point of the earlobe, which is why so many bold earrings come off halfway through an evening.

Our pieces weigh around 10 g the pair. The size is visual rather than physical, so you can wear real presence through a wedding, a full working day or a long function without regretting it.

What counts as a statement here

  • Long drops and danglers — movement against an open neckline
  • Wide studs — presence without anything swinging or catching
  • Chandeliers and tiered pieces — for festive dressing and celebrations
  • Bold single-wood forms — where the shape and the grain carry it alone

How to wear one

One statement piece at a time. A bold earring and a heavy necklace cancel each other out, and the outfit should be plain enough to let the earring lead — solid colours rather than busy prints, and hair back or up so the piece is actually seen.

Against a printed or embroidered outfit, choose a piece with a plain surface. Save the engraved and inlaid designs for solid drapes, where the detail has room to register.

The material

Every pair is handcrafted by skilled artisans in India from responsibly repurposed exotic hardwood — Ebony, Boxwood, Padauk and Maple, offcuts from fine woodworking given a second life. On bare-wood designs the colour is the wood's own, undyed, and it deepens with age rather than fading.

Filter by wood to compare: near-black Ebony, honey gold Boxwood, deep red Padauk.

Common questions

Are big wooden earrings uncomfortable?
Not if they are light. Weight is what causes discomfort, not size — and a wooden pair weighs a fraction of the metal equivalent at the same dimensions.

Can statement earrings work for the office?
Yes, if the surface is plain and the shape is geometric. Plain Ebony in particular reads as considered rather than decorative.

What should I not wear with them?
A statement necklace, a busy print, or your hair down over your ears.
