A rounded bullet-shaped Boxwood drop, finished with fine hand-painted detail.
Ragini is cut from Boxwood, one of the woods that passes through a Kolkata workshop making parts for musical instruments, where it is used for fittings and for the makers' own bench tools. It reaches us as offcuts from that work — fully seasoned, dense and stable. Read how the wood gets here.
The shape is turned rather than cut flat — domed at the shoulder, narrowing to a point, full in the round so it catches light along a curve instead of showing one face.
The detail is painted by hand, pair by pair. Boxwood is close-grained enough that painting on it is closer to working on fine paper than on timber: the colour sits bright rather than sinking away, and the grain stays faintly visible underneath. That is the whole reason to paint on wood instead of on moulded acrylic, where colour sits on a dead surface.
Ragini is one of the smallest and most affordable pieces we make, and it is a good first wooden earring for someone who has never worn one.

Styling ▾
Small, warm and easy — lightweight wooden earrings for daily wear that do not need an occasion. The painted detail gives them colour without the scale of a statement piece.
They also work well layered with a necklace, since the drop is short and takes up little space above the collarbone.
Looking after it ▾
- Keep it in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight — painted work holds its colour best away from strong light.
- Store pieces separately so they do not knock against one another.
- Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Do not scrub the painted surface.
- Avoid perfume, moisturiser, soap and other chemicals.

Free shipping on prepaid orders within India. Dispatch in 2–3 working days; delivery 2–3 days to metro cities and 5–7 days elsewhere in India. Cash on Delivery is available at selected locations with a ₹50 cash-handling charge. We ship worldwide, with import duties and local taxes payable by the recipient.

Is the detail printed or painted? ▾
Painted, by hand, one pair at a time. Nothing is printed or transferred, which is why no two pairs carry exactly the same lines.
Will the painted detail wear off? ▾
Not with ordinary wear. Keep the drop away from perfume, moisturiser and soap, wipe it with a dry cloth rather than a damp one, and it will hold.

Boxwood — pale, close-grained, and the reason painted detail sits so cleanly on it.
Are these a good first pair of wooden earrings? ▾
Yes. They are small, light at about 10 g, and among the least expensive pieces we make.
Are both earrings identical? ▾
Close, but never exactly. Hand-painted work varies slightly from one piece to the next.
