Two triangles, one the mirror of the other, linked by a fine chain and ruled across with veneer lines.
Druhini is made from Boxwood and Ebony, two of the woods that pass through a Kolkata workshop making parts for musical instruments. The Ebony is the wood of violin fingerboards and tailpieces; the Boxwood is what instrument makers use for fittings and for their own bench tools. Both reach us as offcuts from that work — fully seasoned, dense and stable. Read how the wood gets here.
The two triangles are identical and inverted — one points down, the one below it points up, so the pair reads as a shape and its reflection rather than as a repeat. Between them runs a short length of fine chain, which is the only metal on the piece and the reason the lower triangle swings free of the upper one.
The lines across each face are veneer: leaf-thin strips of wood, cut and laid onto the surface and then polished back. Because both triangles carry the same ruling, the lines on the lower one run opposite to those above once it is inverted — which is what makes the mirroring read at a glance rather than needing to be worked out.
It is the most constructed piece in this group, and the most expensive, because the two halves have to match exactly for the reflection to work.

Styling ▾
These are statement wooden earrings for weddings and occasion wear — long, geometric and unusual enough to be remembered, without the weight that a piece this size would carry in metal.
Wear with hair up and a plain neckline, and no necklace. The chain between the triangles needs clear space to read.
Looking after it ▾
- Keep it in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
- Keep it dry. A laid surface dislikes prolonged damp, so take these off before washing or swimming.
- Store pieces separately so they do not knock against one another — the points and the chain are the parts to protect.
- Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
- Avoid perfume, moisturiser, soap and other chemicals.

Free shipping on prepaid orders within India. Dispatch in 2–3 working days; delivery 2–3 days to metro cities and 5–7 days elsewhere in India. Cash on Delivery is available at selected locations with a ₹50 cash-handling charge. We ship worldwide, with import duties and local taxes payable by the recipient.

Are the lines painted on? ▾
No. Each line is wood veneer — a leaf-thin strip cut and laid onto the face, then polished back. The colour is the wood's own and cannot be rubbed off.
Do the two triangles move? ▾
Yes. They are linked by a short length of fine chain, so the lower triangle swings independently of the upper one.
Are these suitable for a wedding? ▾
Yes. This is the most striking pair in the range, and at about 10 g it can be worn through a full day of functions.
Will earrings this long be heavy? ▾
The pair weighs about 10 g. The same length in metal would be felt on the earlobe within an hour.
Will the colour fade? ▾
Wood deepens rather than fades. Kept out of direct sunlight and away from chemicals, both woods darken slightly over the years and hold their polish.
