A four-pointed star, carved from a single piece of deep red Padauk.
Divya is cut from Padauk, the red hardwood that passes through a Kolkata workshop making parts for musical instruments. It reaches us as offcuts from that work — fully seasoned, dense and stable. Read how the wood gets here.
One wood, one piece, no joins. There is no inlay here, no veneer laid on and no second species: the whole star is shaped out of one block, with each of the four points drawn to a fine tip and the faces between them cut so they catch light at different angles as you move.
That shaping is the entire design. A flat star would read as a cut-out; these faces give it a raised centre and a soft gleam along each arm, so it behaves more like a carved object than a silhouette.
The colour is Padauk's own — a deep orange-red shot through with darker streaks, different in every piece of wood. Nothing is stained or dyed to achieve it.

Styling ▾
A stud with points reads as deliberate rather than decorative, which makes these easy wooden stud earrings for everyday and office wear — nothing swings, nothing catches, and the shape does the work.
Padauk's red is warm rather than bright, so it sits comfortably with maroon, rust, mustard and cream, and against black it gives a flash of colour that a dark wood would not.
Looking after it ▾
- Keep it in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight — Padauk's red deepens with light exposure.
- Store pieces separately so they do not knock against one another; the points are the most delicate part.
- Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
- Avoid perfume, moisturiser, soap and other chemicals.

Free shipping on prepaid orders within India. Dispatch in 2–3 working days; delivery 2–3 days to metro cities and 5–7 days elsewhere in India. Cash on Delivery is available at selected locations with a ₹50 cash-handling charge. We ship worldwide, with import duties and local taxes payable by the recipient.

Is the red colour stained or dyed? ▾
No. That is Padauk's own colour — the wood comes out of the log this red. Nothing is stained, dyed or painted.
Is the star carved or assembled? ▾
Carved, from one piece of wood. There are no joins, no inlay and nothing laid on the surface.
Are these studs or danglers? ▾
Studs. The star sits flat against the earlobe and nothing hangs below it.
Are wooden stud earrings comfortable for office wear? ▾
Yes — these are among the easiest in the range. The pair weighs about 10 g and a flat stud puts no pull on the lobe at all.
Will both earrings look the same? ▾
The shapes will. The grain will not — Padauk's darker streaking runs differently through every piece of wood.
